Server Timed Out - The current request did not complete successful

I am trying to save my web site to my local disk before publishing to my ISP
host. I get the message that the save did not take. When I try to reopen the
site I get the message 1) there are no files in this folder and 2) that the
server time-out and that the request did not complete successfully. How can I
recover the files?

I am using FP 2003 with XP Service Pack 2. I do not use IE, I use the FP or
SharePoint Services. I have previously successfully published to both the
local and host. FP Server Extensions are in my host directory, should I copy
them to my local directory?

1. You don't save a web, you save pages/files within a web, you publish a web from one location to
another.

2. FP uses IE to publish.

3. You can copy the extensions, but they will be of no use to you, as they must be installed on the
specific machine that are going to be used on, and the machine must have a web server that is
supported. The Windows version of the extensions is only available for the IIS web server under
Windows 2000 Pro/Server, Windows XP Pro and Windows 2003 server.

So what do I do about "The Server "" timed out. The current request did not
complete successfully" when I try to edit the FrontPage file/web site on my
local machine.. The files are all there. I even tried to copy the files from
the host back to my directory and it comes back with error message "550:
Intex.html: No such file or directory" Even my backup files give me this
error message. I have this problem on both of my computers, FP hard drive
files, and FP flash drive files.

Does your online host have the FP SE?
- if so can you open the online site in FP
