Problem: On an XPpro box, IE6 will now not connect to any website.
Server not found and DNS error messages.
I have fully updated the antivirus and cleaned bugbear and swen, and
running spybot s&d (94 problems found).
I can ping any ip address, but pinging a website by name returns a
host not found message. Obviously some virus/worm has damaged the
registry or tcp/ip stack so no names are resolved by dns.
Anyone know which regkeys to look at? Or suggest a way of solving
the problem without re-installing XP?
