Server is not configured for transactions error from client

win 2000 peer to peer network connected to a win 2003
server.

I have set up print and file shares on one of our win 2000
client systems and everything works great. After about an
hour or so, the sharing is broken and I get this error on
the client system "Server is not configured for
transactions". We have set the shares up and gotten the
same results a few times now and the same error keeps
coming up. Has anyone had this happen and know of a fix ?

Hi

Maybe this will help.

Problem:
========
win 2000 peer to peer network connected to a win 2003

hour or so, the sharing is broken and I get this error on

Cause:
=======
Determine if the server is configured for File and Printer Sharing
optimization of "Minimize memory used." It would generally take 10 minutes
before the errors started to occur.
This could be the reason.

Resolution:
==========
change the file and printer sharing setting to "maximize data throughput
for file sharing".
