Server error: The folder that would hold 'folder/folder/file.htm d

I deleted some folders from our remote host using FP 2003 and from our local
drive but when I try to publish the site I get an error stating that the
folder that would hold 'folder/folder/file.htm does not exist. For some
reason it appears FP is looking to publish to the folders I deleted even
though they do not exist on the local or remote site. I've tried publishing
the entire site and overwiting all files but I still get that error. Does
anyone have any suggestions

You should have delete the folder locally and then publish with the Change Pages Only option and
then FP will prompt you to allow it to delete them on the live/remote site or you could of done this
on the live/remote server in FP and then publish to your local to do the same.

The folders that were delete locally, did you delete then from within FP?

Yes I deleted them from the local drive also using frontpage.

The files may have also been deleted from the local host using Explorer and
from the remote host using the interface that our host provides us. I would
really appreciate any help.

Ok, try publishing the local copy to the live/remote using Change Pages Only

I tried that and it still doesn't work.

Never handle Files or folders used by FP outside of FP.
Try doing a Tools | Recalculate Hyperlinks both locally and on the
online Web. Then Publish again.

Jens, thank you for your reply. Guess you could say I found that out the hard
way, I'll never do that again.

I've tried recalculating on both the local and remote and it does no good. I
still get the error messages. I'm currently in the process of importing from
a backup into my local and remote host the folders FP is looking for,
although, FP says it will not import the configuration. It's going to be a
timely process, but I'm not sure what else there is I can do. Any suggestions
would be greatly appreciated.
