Server error: The folder that would hold URL 'images/icon.gif' does not exist on server.

I asked my remote server host to completely delete all my previous web
site and re-install new FP extentions. I then published my new web site
which was working fine on my PC and did so on the remote server when I
published using FP2003 using http. A few days later I ammended the
site on my PC and added new images then published to remote server. FP
reported back - Server error: The folder that would hold URL
'images/icon.gif' does not exist on server. I have check through FP
and the folder does exist on the remote server. All folder and files
are in lower case and there are no spaces in file names. The server is
on Unix and my FP version is 2003

Can anyone help to solve this annoying puzzle? Having searched the the
web for a solution I have found others having the same problem but no
one has produced an answer yet.

Try opening you online site in FP and running a Tools Recalculate hyperlinks
