Server boots past Win2003 splash screen, then hangs on a blank, black screen.

Not sure what the deal is... The machine crashed due to a power surge. When
it came back up, it gave the old "ntoskrnl.exe missing or corrupt". So, I
ran a chkdsk on it. After that the server will now boot past the F8 menu,
past the Windows 2003 logo, and then the screen turns black and then hangs.

Safe mode, LKG, etc have no effect. Any ideas short of reinstalling?

Help a brotha out, yo. And keep it real.

Seems its a no boot situation....
do we have any Preinstallations of windows...If yes, then we may load the
system hive and then look at the devices loading...

No previous installs. I am curious about your answer though. What are you
referring to? Copying the C:\WINDOWS\system32\config from the old install to
the new one?
