Its a different error so you should start a separate post, however as you're
here,
The d1 bugcheck is a normally a driver conflict error so it is less serious
than hardware failure.
Normally when the system crashes, the default behaviour is to restart, you
need to change this in
control panel/system/advanced/startup and recovery settings
Uncheck Automatically Restart
Now when it happens, you will get a blue screen, with a D1 you should get
the name of the driver windows xp thinks is causing the error displayed near
the botton of the screen, its a filename ending in .SYS.
The same questions I asked in the previous reply are still relevant.
Have you changed or updated anything just before the problem started to
occur,
Again as this is a driver related stop error run the sigverif tool to find
all the unsigned drivers on your system.
start/run
sigverif
If you need further help, post the name of the driver causing the problem.
There is a possibility its a hardware conflict, but unless you've added any
new devices then go with the above first.
