I installed service pack2 and now I have a icon next to
my clock that I don't want. I tried to delete it
with "msconfig", but it is not in the start up folder
there. How can I get the red shield icon sercice pack 2
icon away from the right hand clock on my computer. I
don't like icons there. It looks cluttered. Thank you for
your time.

Right click near the clock>Properties>Customize. Find the icon and
change the behavior to Always Hide.

Right click on the taskbar, click properties, click
customize, find the icon you dont want and select "always
hide" from the drop down menu.

D-click it to open it. It is warning you about items like Antivirus or
AutoUpdate. If you are happy you do not want the warnings, click the
'change way Security Console advises me' on the left and uncheck for the
ones you do not want
