Separate slides for printing and viewing?

Hi,

I have PPT 2003 and use XP or Win 7(but could possible upgrade to PPT 2007
if it solves my problem).

I hold presentations where I show slides on a projector. The audience also
get printed handouts.

I would like to include some slides in the running presentation only. This
could be black slides where I have discussions etc.

I would also like to have some slides that are for printing only. This would
be additional details.

Any way to do this?

Cheers

There's probably no need for black slides. Press B at any time to black the
screen (note if your are not working in English it may be a different letter
- eg in French N for Noir)

To have slides which do not show in the presentation . Right Click and Hide
Slide. Choose print hidden slid when you print.

Thank you John,

That takes care of half the problem, hiding extra information during a
presentation but including it in the handouts.

The other half is that I sometimes would like to have slides that are only
shown during a presentation and not printed, (not only black slides). Is
possible also?

You can use the Hide Slide for printing as well.

Just go through the slide show and Hide/Unhide according you your printing
desires and when you print, just make sure that the "Print Hidden Slides" is
not checked.
