Sent Items size with Outlook Express

We're encountering a problem in that e-mail being sent is delivered to the
addressee but not moved to the Sent Items folder. An error dialog pops up
but contains no text what-so-ever. Upon inspection, the Sent Items folder
of outlook express contains just slightly over 10,000 messages. Is there an
upper limit on the size of the Sent Items folder? And, if not, does anyone
have any suggestions on solving this problem?

Thanks in advance!

It's possible the Sent Items folder is corrupt. It's not generally a good
idea to use the default mail folders in OE to store mails in any case.
Create a new folder, move the emails (if you can) to the new folder. Close
OE and delete the file "Sent Items.dbx". OE will rebuild it on restarting.

BTW, This newsgroup is for support of Outlook
97/98/2000/2002/2003/2007 from the Office suite of products. Outlook
Express is actually a separate program despite the similar name.

For help with your OE questions, try an OE newsgroup such as
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress (for OE 6), or
an OE help website such as http://insideOE.tomsterdam.com. If you're
accessing the Microsoft newsgroups through the MS Product Support
Services "Community Newsgroups" web interface, click
http://www.microsoft.com/communitie...px?dg=microsoft.public.outlookexpress.general
Good luck!
