sent items folder

When I reply or forward e-mail, a copy does not show up in my Sent Items
Folder. The ONLY items are New e-mails sent that show up in my Sent Items
Folder. I find them in my In Box. How do I get them to automatically go
to the Sent Items Folder. I just recently updated Outlook from 2000 to 2003
so it would work with my DSL with MSN.
How can I fix this problem?
Thank you so very much for all help.

- Open Outlook
- Select TOOLS menu
- Select OPTIONS
- On the "Preferences" tab Click the E-MAIL OPTIONS... button.
- Click the "ADVANCED E-MAIL OPTIONS..." button

Remove the check mark from the box next to: "In folders other than
the inbox, save replies with original message".

- Click the OK button
- Click the OK button
- Click the OK button

Did this help?

(Sorry to send a question as a "reply" but I can't get the question box to
"pop up").
I have Microsoft Office 2000 with Outlook 2000, so it is no longer
"supported" by the Microsoft Help line. But a smart user probably knows the
answer.
Question: how do I get my Sent email page to show the person "to" whom it
was sent, the "subject", and the date and time "sent"? It once did this but
somehow changed so that now it shows only the date and time - and (very
strangely) lists this under the "To" column. I followed instructions for
adding new fields, and succeeded in getting all 3 fields in the bar at the
top, but all email still end up under "To" but showing one field only, the
date and time.
Can anyone help?
thanks a lot
Fred

Don't use the web interface. Use a real newsreader and you won't have any
problems.

Choose the Sent To view.
