why my mails doesnt go to sent items folder ?

usually when u send a e-mail it should go to sent items folder but my e-mails
stay at the folder i try to send. i want my sent mails go to sent items
without do it by myself manually. how to correct it & usuing office outlook
express 2003. thanks a lot.
