Sent Items Folder Keeps Expanding

N

Nikkit72

Hi

I hope someone can help.

We are using Outlook 2007 in the office and a few of us have noticed that
our sent items folder keeps expanding.

We have the groups collasped but on returning to the sent items folder it
has expanded again.

I know its not a huge problem but it is highly annoying.

Anyone any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

Nikkit

Version of outlook? Are you using rules to move sent messages to a subfolder
of the sent folder?

Hi we are using Outlook 2007 (12.06.6504.5000) SP1 MSO (12.06.630.5000) - I
hope this helps!

Also we are not using rules just when things are sent they go into sent
items. I might add that this has only started happening in the last week or
so.

Thanks.

Exactly what do you mean by "expanding" ? Typically, when a new item is
placed in a subfolder, the parent folder expands. If you have the folder
tree collapsed then the behavior might be "as expected".

In the sent items folder, we have things organised into groups such as
"today", "yesterday", "last week" etc. I leave that day's folder expanded
while the rest of the emails are shrunk or hidden under the "yesterday" etc
banner.

New emails are automatiically placed in that folder after being sent.

Any ideas?

So the group heading is expanding, not the folder? The groups shouldn't
expand but Ctrl+ the minus key on the numeric keypad will collapse them all.

If I'm misunderstanding and you are using a folder and using rules to move
the sent items, its by design.
