can't access messages in Sent folder

We installed Office on our server and utilize outlook via the server now. In
the taskbar my Sent folder indicates 4,466 items, but I can only access the
past 7 days' worth of sent messages. I save them because I need to reference
them.

I have the box checked to save sent messages, but I can't get to them now.
I've tried various different views, expanded groups, etc.

Please help. Thanks

While viewing the Sent Items folder, click View>Arrange By>Current View and
tell us which view you've selected. It's not, by chance, the "Last Seven
Days" view is it?
