Sent folders

I have created a rule to move all email from the Sent box to a Personal
Folder Sent box. I also turned off saving email to Sent Folder in options.
This works great except, all the email coming into the Personal Folder Sent
box is marked as Unread. Can this be changed to Read?
If I attempt to create a rule for this, there is not a choice of 'mark as
unread' when acting on sent emails.

Okay not sure if you have turned off the save sent items option if you still
need this for the rules to change it to read but there really is not an
option to make this change using the standard Rules. However you can select
the option to do a Custom Action to do it. Below is a link with such custom
actions - the one you may be interested in is call MarkRead.

I have been having a similar problem and I have downloaded MarkRead from
slipstick but the read-me file says this works with MS Exchange. Does it also
work without Exchange? I have turned off the save sent items option, and use
the Sent Items folder in a Rule as a catchall for things that aren't moved to
other folders. (I have Outlook 2003)
