Sending pics from 2 folders

Is there a way to use the automatic "make my pictures
smaller" option when sending pics from two different
folders? I know I can make a resized copy in each folder
and then attach them one at a time or I can make a new
folder and put copies of the photos into it and then
send. But I'd like to eliminate those steps if it is
possible.

You have the right idea of making a new folder, copying the pics there and
then selecting them.
If you want to add permanent smaller picture files in your folders you can
do it this way.

To decrease the size of the file for e-mail, web publishing etc.

Go to this site and download the free Image Resizer. Exe file in one of your
folder.

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp

Once in your folder, double click on it to install it.

Once installed, you right click on a photo file (or on a group of selected
photo files).

Click on Resize image on the opening menu.

A window will open, select the size you want.

New files will be added in your folder, same name as original file but with
the word (small) added.

The first time you use it, you may not see Resize image on the opening menu
after you right click on the file or if you see it, it may not work. If so,
do the following:

Click on Run, click on Start and type the following in the textbox:

REGSVR32 SHIMGVW.DLL

and press the Enter key.

Note that there is a space between ...32 and SHI.

Then try again. It should work.

If you have any pull with MS and if you agree, perhaps
you will send this suggestion on to them. When the "send
pictures via email" box opens they could put an
additional option in "Show more options" This new option
would allow you to save the resized photo on the
clipboard. THen you could take several photos from
different folders, put them on the clipboard and then be
able put them into one email. I do have the image
resizer, but I like the temporary nature of the resizing
XP offers better. Thanks for listening!
