Sending page link

Using MS Office XP, and IE 6.1. When I find a website I want to send as
either a web link or page, I get the error message that I have no e-mail
client .

Outlook is my default e-mail client, and it is programmed in IE and my
Outlook settings.

What am I doing wrong, that causes this recent problem to occur?

Is Outlook open when you try to send the page?

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

Does the same error message whether open or closed.
