send link by e mail etc

Using Vista OS

With windows mail as the default I can send link by e mail (IE 7) send to
from windows and programs OK
With Outlook as default NO MAIL IS Sent (NOTHING COMES UP)

Any Ideas

version of outlook? did you repair the office install? Having just
reformatted and reinstalled vista and outlook I can say that vista and/or
mail or buggy when it comes to setting outlook as the default mail client. I
ended up going into the default programs applet and making sure outlook
really was default and it worked after that.

Version of outlook 2007
Did not do a repair (it was a consideration)
This morning MS sent out updates for vista, office, outlook etc while I was
asleep (3:00 AM)
It now works again
Although when I looked, both windows mail and outlook think that they are
the default mail program using the tools options selection
Using the default programs selection from the start menu (vista) it says
that office outlook has the send to default and windows mail does not.
I will leave this sleeping dog alone for now

Thanks for the input, If it rears its ugly head again I will try the repair
or just wait for MS to do another update.
