sending "on behalf of"

I am having problems with people sending emails on behalf of other people. I
have followed the article 327000 Revision 7.0.

I am using exhange 2003 and outlook 2003.

When people have delegates selected, and one of them sends and email on
their behalf; the email doesn't display "on behalf of".

Can someone plesase shed some light on this as to why this is happening.

Thanks in advance.

Check the security settings in Active Directory to see whether some people also have the Send As security permission in addition to the delegate role, which conveys Send On Behalf Of permission.

I have checked AD and all users have Send As Security permission in addition
to the delegate role.

Then that explains the behavior you're seeing. If you want to see "on behalf of," remove the Send As permission.

I have removed a user from the Send As Permissions in AD and I'm still
having the same problem.

It might take a couple of hours for the permission change to take effect. In the meantime, check to see whether any parent objects have Send As the that mailbox and are propagating it to the child user object.
