Sending message count incorrect

I am using Outlook 2007 (enterprise edition, (12.0.6023.5000 and MSO
12.0.6017.5000) and from the initial installation I have a problem with the
sending count. If I send 1 message the count message is "Sending 2 of 2", if
I send 4 the count is "Sending 5 of 5". At times the incoming email number
is also incorrect, showing 1 more message than I am downloading however this
is a sporadic problem.
