sending mail to contacts using windows mail

When I try to create mail using addresses in contacts I am sent to Microsoft
Outlook e-mail rather than to Windows Mail which I would prefer to use. I am
able to access Contacts from Mail from a new message window but would also
like to move directly from Contacts to Mail. Hope someone out there
understands my question and may have an answer! Thanks

Go to Default Programs, which you can access either from the Start menu
or via the Control Panel, then click the first item: "Set your default programs."
After a few seconds a list of programs comes up.
Click on Windows Mail. If it doesn't respond with "This program has all its
defaults" then fix it by clicking on the option indicated by the first green arrow.
