Not able to send emails in Windows Mail

SPRING THOMASON

I am using Vista Home Premium as my operating system. I use Yahoo Plus Mail
and have set up to receive and send through Windows Mail. I am able to
receive my mail with no problem, however I have not able to send out mail. I
have checked by server address and it appears to to correct. Can someone
offer a fix to this?
The message could not be sent. The authentication setting might not be
correct for your outgoing e-mail [SMTP] server. For help solving this
problem, go to Help, search for "Troubleshoot Windows Mail", and read the
"I'm having problems sending e-mail" section. If you need help determining
the proper server settings, please contact your e-mail service provider.

The rejected e-mail address was '(e-mail address removed)'. Subject
'Colton's Birthday', Account: 'plus.pop.mail.yahoo.com', Server:
'plus.smtp.mail.yahoo.com', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '553 From

The last name (tomson) in the email address in the error message doesn't
match the name you used posting to this group (tomason).
