sending fax cover sheet and word document

I am not very computer savvy..now that that is out of the way..I set up the fax console and would like to fax the above and have several questions..I do not have a fax machine and use a dial-up connection. I have Netzero with Outlook Express and Yahoo.com. I have seen the fax cover sheets and selected the one I want to use. My questions are these: where do i insert the 'fax to' phone number so the fax goes to the right place? How will I know the fax was received? Do I need to do something special to get the fax to go? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks
