sending email

O

old Goat

How do I know if my email has been sent. Previous email programs gave me a
messag that the email was sent. I do not hav anything in my sent folder.
When I access the outbox It gives me a message that a message is being sent
but it is always the same messages. What am I missing?

With Outlook, if the message is in the Outbox and not in the Sent Items this
usually indicates the message has not in fact been sent, as that is the
default behavior.

Occasionally things can happen that result in messages being sent but
preventing the message from being moved from the Outbox to the Sent Items
(PST file corruption being chief among them).

If you look in your Outbox and see messages you've sent over the past few
days or so, try sending a test message to yourself and see if it shows up in
your Inbox. If it does, then send an email to someone you also contact via
telephone and ask them if they received it. If both messages were sent, but
they're not leaving the Outbox, then go to
http://www.howto-outlook.com/faq/messagestuckinoutbox.htm and use Method 3.
