Sending Email errors

S

SAC

Outlook 2000.

I'm sending a bulk email to about 1000 addresses for an Olympic skater. I
use MS Access to loop through the addresses and send them to Outlook.

I use sbc as the smtp server and I'm getting several bounced back because of
two errors:

"wasn't able to establish an SMTP connection"

and "counldn't find a host by that name."

Could this be a timing problem? Some go through so the servers settings are
ok, but then I have problems.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Have you checked the addresses that throw the error to see if they are still
valid?

Using smtp.swbell.yahoo.com? If so, try using smtpauth.sbcglobal.net
instead.
