Yes : the same way you can customize a tool bar
View -> Toolbars -> Customiz
Go to the "Commands" tab and drag what ever command you want into the "Send to" sub men

Updating a menu in Excel applies to all Excel workbooks on the computer, while as in Word, it applies to all documents based on the same template.
 
Pretty cool, but how can I add a program to that command
tab? i.e. windows app.
