How do you kill "e-mail message-send" mode in Excel?

I must've accidentally typed a key combo to "Send" my workbook to
someone.

The upper third of my Excel 2002 SP3 screen is now an Outlook-style
app, with e-mail toolbar, send fields, etc. (all embedded inside
Excel).

How do you kill this unwanted view and return to a normal Excel
screen?

What I especially fail to understand is Microsoft having embedded
*all* these UI failures into this display:

- Right-clicking anywhere on the e-mail region has no functionality.
Ergo I can find no context menu letting you kill it.

- While Excel main menu's File menu has item "Send", it has no item to
cancel that function. This feature should work like a toolbar, with a
box that gets checked while it's visible, letting you kill it by un-
checking it. But no.

- That goes double for the View menu, for God's sake. It is where you
want to see item "Send worksheet via e-mail" among the selectable
toolbars. Again, seemingly no.

- I don't see anything anywhwere in Tools, etc.

- Then, unbelievably, on quitting and re-launching Excel, and on
reopening your workbook, the abandoned and not-even-used Send mode
from your last session *reappears*.

- I also don't want, and flatly refuse, to send the .xls to someone
merely to clear the screen.

I must be missing something (which wouldn't be the first time).

So where in the Excel interface do you kill the e-mail send display?

Thanks much.

Bob:

What, is it that simple? I never thought of it.

I'll give it a try.

Thanks much.

Escape is often worth a try if you/ve accidentally selected something. :)

That won't do anything to correct stated "problem", and would make it
somewhat impossible to access anything not stored locally.
