Send to Word with one slide on top, and multiple notes pages per s

Hello folks!

Thanks for all your suggestions. I'm writing again because I'm still looking
for a way to get multiple notes pages from Powerpoint.

Specifically, I need to:

1. Have a 2.5 inch wide image of the slide centered at the top of the page
2. Have 16 point Times New Roman bulleted font with 1 line skipped between
every bullet
3. Have a date and name of the file on the bottom of the page
4. Have more than one notes page per slide.
5. Have the ability to print notes pages for up to 200 slides (a lot, I
know...)

I've reviewed "Slide into Word" and "Handout Wizard" and they are both great
products. "Handout Wizard" is closer to what I need, but I cannot figure out
how to add a date to the bottom, and it does not allow for multiple pages of
notes per slide as of yet (though I've been told that it may in the future).

My supervisor is very picky about notes pages, and so far the only way to
get everything to his strict specifications is to copy and paste each slide
and notes into Word. This takes a lot of time.

"Send to Word" crashes a lot, and again, the other plug ins don't have the
format I need. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

thanks

Hi everyone!

I am going to reply to my own post, because I think I have figured out the
answer to my questions, and I'd like to share that answer for the benefit of
all users.

My problem was that I needed to make multiple pages of notes for one slide
with a very specific format.

I tried Bill Dillworth's "Slide into Word" and Shyam Pillai's "Handout
Wizard." Both are excellent products that I would recommend (and no, I'm not
affiliated with either of these folks. I'm just a user desperate for a
solution)

Shyam's "Handout Wizard" allowed me to create the template I needed to get
the formatting, but I had written the post below with two problems: 1. I
needed to put a date on the bottom of the slide and 2. I needed to get
multiple pages of notes to go after one slide.

Here are the solutions I figured out for those using Handout Wizard:
1. To add dates:
- create a text box in the template you create with handout wizard which is
a Powerpoint file.
- go to the "insert" menu and insert a date, page number, etc in that text
box.

2. To have more than one page of notes after a certain slide:
- Create your handouts using Handout Wizard. Any notes page with more than
one page of notes will "go off the end" of the page.
- Now make a copy of that "multi notes" slide and paste it immediately after
the first slide
- Then on that copy of the slide, delete the slide image (if you wish) and
delete any notes already on the previous page. This way you "continue" the
notes from the previous page.

I haven't tested this multiple times yet, but I think this will solve my
problem.

Shyam told me he is working on an update to Handout Wizard that may allow
for more than one page of notes. Again, I would recommend Handout Wizard.

to be fair, Bill Dillworth also said he is working on a new version of
"slide into Word" so that may also help those with problems like mine in the
future.

I hope that this helps other people. I certainly have gotten some great
answers through this community. Thanks so much to all of you who have
answered my myriad of silly questions. I am appreciative!

Chris
