Send To - mail recipient doesn't post file to Outlook Express

XP Home with Hotmail email, Outlook Express client menvironment

Mail enabled apps can't post files to the mail client by selecting post to email from file menu. Other "related" symptoms. Right clicking files selecting <send to><Mail Recipient> doesn't post file to mail client. Sending files to Outlook express just starts app. Draging & dropping them works and attaches them to a compose mail
From WEB page selecting send page to a friend also fails with error message indicating install error with default mail client

Any ideas?

Thanks for your help. It didn't solve my problem but it got me looking in the right place. I needed to restore the OE client to the registry as I had previusly installed Outlook and then uninstalled it and then installing OE via WEB update doesn't seem to do the trick. I found the solution through opening www.kellys-korner-xp.com/regs-edits/restore_oe_client.reg. Thanks Kelly?
