send recieve status stays at 85%

I've searched everywhere I can think of but can't seem to find a solution (or
even determine how to diagnose) the folllowing issue. Outlook 2007 w/ SP1
seems to work fine however the send recieve status indicator gets stuck at
85% details show that the exchange account is "Saving synchronization log".
I've tried disabling all addins and office diagnostics completes without any
errors. I would really like outlook to complete the send recieve process.

Hi,

Thank you for posting.

From your post, I understand when you click Send/Receive button, it stuck
at 85% and the details show the exchange account is saving synchronization
log. You have disabled the Outlook Add-ins but the issue still persists. If
I'm off base, please feel free to let me know.

At this time, please let me know whether Outlook works in an exchange
environment and connect to server through Exchange Mode. In addition,
whether you can send and receive new emails successfully. If the Outlook
connects to server through Exchange Mode, please also let me know your
Exchange version.

I suggest you attempt the following method to help narrow the issue if the
Outlook connects to server through Exchange Mode:

1. Tools->Options
2. Under Mail Setup tab, please click Send/Receive button
3. Click All Accounts group and click Edit
4. Please uncheck Download offline address book option and click Ok to save
the change.

Then, please click Send/Receive again to check whether the issue still
persists. If the issue still persists, please capture a screenshot to me at
(e-mail address removed) when the issue is encountered

Sincerely,
Mike Shen

That cleared it up- thanks! What's causing that issue with the address book?
Is there an issue with the exchange server?

Hi,

Thanks for your response.

I understand that the issue disappears after excluding download Offline
Address Book. If I am off base, please let me know.

At this time, please check whether all the users encountered the problem
when clicking Send/Receive button. Or only some users encountered the issue?

If all the users encountered the problem, I think we need to focus on the
Exchange server. Otherwise, we need to focus on the specific client or
user.

Please also let me know the Exchange version in your environment, Exchange
2003 or Exchange 2007?

Mike

I noticed that the previous poster (Jim_B) didn't respond to your last post.
I'm having the same problem and the solution you posted fixed the problem.
However I have only one pc with this issue. What do I have to do to resolve
the issue on this client. I'm thinking I have to have the Download Offline
Address Book check for the user to receive the changes made to our global
address book.

Thanks,
Ron
