Hi All
I know this topic has been done to death but I'm really struggling and would
appreciate your help. I recently bought a Toshiba Satellite laptop with
Vista pre-installed, uploaded Outlook 2007 and transferred all my old data
from Outlook 2003 on my old laptop to the new model. Norton Security is also
installed on the new laptop.
All worked well for several days then Outlook would only download the
headings of emails rather than all content as previously. On accessing the
send/receive options I am not being given the option to click 'download all
content', only 'download headings' is available. I have switched off the
email scanning facility in Norton and have been through all Outlook options I
can think of which may rectify the situation but nothing works.
The only thing I haven't tried is reinstalling Outlook. Can you advise me
if there is something I'm missing and what I should do? I can eventually
download all email content by marking messages for download and then for
processing, but this is time-consuming and inconvenient.
All help appreciated!

It could be that your send/receive settings are messed up. See
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/284312. It's an Outlook 2002 (XP) article,
but the settings are much the same in later versions.

If that doesn't work, you may have to create a new mail profile (Through the
Mail applet in Control Panel) and set that up to use your existing PST file
so you get all your existing data.

Regards
