"Send Receive hangs" "unknown task" 0x80048002 outlook

Hi,

when I am connected to work via VPN and try to sync up email with
Outlook 2003 (latest SP), often it is successful in sending but doesnt
complete "receive". The details box lists two activities (send and
<nameless>). The general behavior is to diplsay (send and receive) as
two activities.

when I cancel the task, I see "unknown task 0x80048002 did not complete
....". This happnes randomly. Until now, the only fix is to restart
outlook and it syncs normally the first time after restarting outlook
but subsequent send/recv may show the same behavior.

What is the reason and I am totally bugged with this stupidity.
