Send Mail suddenly stopped

After a difficult start, I finally got Windows Mail running on my Vista Home
Premium. I had to set up 127.0.0.1 as both my POP and SMTP server.

Suddenly, two months later, Windows Mail does not any longer send away my
mails. I does not complain og give any error message, but the messages remain
in the Outbox. One of the messages cannot be deleted from the outbox, giving
an error message "Unknown error".

What on earth is this?
 
I Just got off the phone with my internet provider who says that the first
message which is displaying an error is keeping the other messages from going
out.
Receiving is not affected.
He recommends reinstalling the windows mail or contacting Dell and having
them do it.
