Send immediately when connected

Here is what I have:

XP Pro OS
MS Office 2003

I connect to a Small Business Exchange server 2000. When I
am in Outlook 2003 on the desktop and I go into Tools
Options, I have the check Box "Send immediately when
connected" checked, however no emails send on their own .
I always have to select the send receive button to force
emails out of the Outbox. Any ideas?
My other machines with MS 2000 office work fine.
Thanks
Clayton

Do you connect to an Internet Mail account as well as Exchange? Or is
Exchange handling all your mail?

Exchange is handling all the mail.

I presume you're using cached mode? If you work online does this happen?
