Send button doesn't work

When I'm in Word and I go to File/Send To/Mail Recipient
(As Attachment), then I pick the recipient and then I
click on Send and nothing happens. The Send button isn't
greyed out or anything, I'm able to click the button but
it doesn't send.
I'm using OS XP with Word & Outlook 2000

Is the e-mail sitting in your Outbox in Outlook? The e-mail got added
to Outlook programmatically from Word. Only a portion of Outlook gets
loaded but you'll need the full-blown product be loaded to actually send
the e-mail. So when you next open Outlook, the items stuck in the
Outbox should go on the next manual or scheduled mail poll.
