Hi

I was wondering how to do with the Windows XP
which I have on a PC if I want to sell the PC?
I would like to keep my license and move it to
another PC after I sold my current PC so I don't
want the person who buys my PC to get my CD key.

By the terms of your license, you are required to take
the operating system off of the system you are going to
sell. If you leave the software on the system you have
violated the license you have.

Greetings --

If you have a retail license for WinXP, you may remove it from the
PC before selling it, and install it on a new PC. If, however, you
have an OEM license for WinXP, you must sell the OS along with the PC.
Once installed, an OEM license becomes a permanent "component" of the
PC, and cannot be transferred to another PC, under any circumstances.

You can sell the PC with the OS installed on it but you must give the
license and the disk to the new owner. You can not keep the disk/license and
install it on another/new PC and sell the old PC with the OS on it. You can
keep the disk/license to install it on your new PC but you must remove it
from the PC you are going to sell. There are the 2 options you have PICK
"1".
