Self-registration to database with email notification

FP 2003 SP2 Unix sever with FPSEs 2002 installed.

As my web site is hosted on a Unix server I am told I cannot use ASP.
What alternative is appropriate for user registration to a (MS Access?)
database preferably with email notification to me as well?

PHP with a mySQL database would be the most common choices for Unix.

You can not use MS Access under Unix/Linux.

Thank you for picking out my query on MS Access. Since I asked I have
found that my host has MySQL available on the server.

So all I have have to do now is find out how to use it!

Thank you. I found a registration PHP and MySQL example at:

It is basic but my thought is to get it working and then to refine or
replace to meet what I need. In the meantime I'll look at the pages for
which you have given links.

Or another option is to switch to a web host that offers MS Access and ASP
I use www.webhost4life.com They offer all that and they offer MySQL,
SQL Server, PHP and a lot of other things and the price is very reasonable.

your personal `plug'. Fair play - I'll bear it in mind! {8;-))
