Selection Contrast Color

One gripe I have with Vista (and Excel 2007 too actually) is that there isnt
enough contrast for selected items. I'll tab out to an Explorer window to
review a series of files but it takes a great amount of hunting for that very
faint "outline" on the last file I selected. Is there any way to in increase
the contrast so that I can notice selections easier? I've hunted for a
setting but can't seem to come up with much. Using Aero Glass if that helps.

Hi Nick,

If you right-click on the desktop and choose Personalize, it takes you to
the Personalization control panel. Choose the "Window Color and Appearance"
link, at the very top. After this opens, choose the link "Open classic
appearance properties for more color options", towards the bottom of the
window. This opens the "Appearance Settings" tab in a new window.

On this tab, click on the "Advanced..." button. When the Advanced
Appearance Window pops up, under "Item:", pull down the menu, and choose
"Selected Items". Pick a color. You'll have to OK>Apply>OK your way out of
all the windows to make your changes stick.

Hope this helps,
Dean
