Selected parts of documents to be printed

I can't find a way to print only highlighted portions of
a Microsoft Word portion of a document. No problem with
ME but with XP can'at figure it out.
 
Highlight the section(s) in question.... use File, Print... and ensure you
put a checkmark in the middle which says Print Selection.

Even if you have highlighted what you want to print, if you just hit the
printer icon in the taskbar, it will send everything to the printer.
