Select Recipiets dialogue box is empty when creating mail

I imported my contacts from Outlook Express on my old computer to Windows
Mail on my new computer. When I click the Contacts button in Windows mail, my
contacts are there (in the Contacts folder under my user name) and I can
right-click and send email.

However, when I try to send mail by clicking the Create Mail button and then
click the To button, the Select Recipients dialog box is completely empty.

Any ideas?

I have an answer to my own question. I have a new Toshiba laptop that came
preloaded with McAfee Anti-Virus. I read in previous notes in this group that
this particular version of McAfee can cause all sorts of problems.

McAfee wasn't letting me send mail from Windows Mail--said my notes were
unsafe. I uninstalled McAfee and then reinstalled from the Comcast website.
That solved the mail sending problem and, to my surprise, solved the Contacts
problem too!

Thanks for the feedback. Nice of the antivirus people to test their
software and Toshiba as well.
