how do i import my address book/mail from my old outlook?

You have two choices of how to do it: 1. Install Outlook under Vista,
preferably version 2003 or later. Version 2002 will also run under
Vista, but with a few problems. Windows Mail needs to use part of
Outlook to be able to understand .pst files from Outlook. 2. First,
import them from Outlook to Outlook Express on your old computer.
Them import them from Outlook Express to Windows Mail.

To get the old contacts, bring along the .wab file. After you copy the
files to a directory on the hard drive of your Vista computer, make
sure the copies are read-write instead of readonly before you import
them into Windows Mail.

If this doesn't import the contacts in the .wab file, click on Tools, then
Windows Contacts. If the toolbar if this program does not include
Import, right click in the empty space below the right end of this
toolbar, then click on Customize This Folder, then the triangle, then
Contacts, then Apply, then OK. Click on Import, then Windows
Address Book File (Outlook Express contacts), then Import, then
find the .wab file and click on it. Click on Close, then close the
contacts window.

Incidentally, you are posting from the future!
This happens because your time zone setting is incorrect.
Your PC's time zone is configured for Pacific (west coast), while you are
actually in the Eastern time zone.
