seeing too much on emails

I am using Vista and Outlook 2003. I see the From and subject which is what I
want, but I also see the text of the message. I don't want to see that only
the from and subject. Where is the setting to change that. It is set OK for
the Inbox, but the rest of my folders I see too much. Thanks for the help. I
know it is simple, but I just can't seem to find the settings.

Either open each folder individually and disable the Reading pane or modify
the standard Messages view. Technique shown here:

It actually ended up being the autopreview that was giving me the problem.
