Eric

I was wondering if anyone knew how to change the icon
boxes to where you can only see the words. I have a
colored box around the name of the folder that I want
gone. If anyone knows please e-mail me on how to change
it.

Hi Eric,

Please get one thing straight: Nobody out here gets personal attention and
help in his/her inbox. You will have to come here and check for answers to
your questions.

As for your question, try these things to get transparency around the icon
labels of icons on the desktop:

1) Right click on My Computer and select Properties. Flip to the advanced
tab and click on settings under Performance. Scroll down the list of visual
effects and put a check next to "Use drop shadows for icon labels on
desktop". OK your way out.

2) Right clickon the desktop and point to "Arrange icons by" and uncheck
"Lock web items on desktop".
