Hi,
I am confused about terminal service and security. Just
how secure is running Terminal Service over the internet?
I have a remote office set up using TS client to run an
application in the main office. They have a DSL line, and
I have them going through a Symantec firewall using the
Symantec VPN client. The performance in not real good. I
thing it might be better without the VPN, but what about
security? What VPN clients offer the smallest overhead?
How about a reqular windows VPN client instead of a
firewall based client?
Thanks - Wayne

The encryption on an RDP data stream can be configured up
to 128-bit, which is pretty darn good. Most people have
found that using the high (128bit) encryption is a good
substitute (as compared to VPN) for traffic over an
unsecured link.
