Security Wizard not finishing

I am using Access 2003, SP1. The database is saved in a Access 2000 format.

The database is roughly 1.5 mb in size, roughly 15 tables, 15 queries, 5
forms, 5 reports. When I run the security wizard, after clicking the last
"finish", the screen displays in the lower left corner "Enhancing Security".
There are 7 square dots and then no more progress. I left the database open
overnight, but no progress.

I tried running the security wizard on a blank database. After a few
seconds, the process finished.

What should I do to finish the security wizard process of my database?

You may need to try to secure the database manually. Take a look at the 10
