Have you tried downloading the update directly?

Yes I have .When I use download direct I receive a window "You are using the
wrong Flash Player for this update.I went to Adobe and downloaded
Flashplayer 9.0 but still get the install update window.
The only way I could stop the update window from appearing is to stop The
Automatic Updates.
Thanks for your reply Napatsfan.

Get Flash Player 9 so u dont need update. See
http://www.adobe.com/support/security/bulletins/apsb06-11.html or u
can do any of 6 workarounds at
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/MS06-069.mspx
But to find either u need infinite patience & at least 45 mins. Not
used to semi-tech papers? Too bad.

Note all this is for a THEORETICAL problem:
'When this security bulletin was issued, had Microsoft received any
reports that these vulnerabilities were being exploited?
No. Microsoft had not received any information to indicate that these
vulnerabilities have been publicly used to attack customers.' It was
discovered by ' Stuart Pearson of Computer Terrorism (UK) Ltd. for
reporting vulnerabilities (CVE-2006-3311) prior to the final release
of Flash Player 9.

If u use IE-SPYAD sites list 4 Internet Explorer's Restricted zone &
SpywareBlaster to Block ActiveX it may not effect u if & when it does
come out.

Note also that 'LIMIT OF LIABILITY: IN NO EVENT WILL ADOBE BE LIABLE
TO YOU FOR ANY LOSS OF USE; INTERRUPTION OF BUSINESS; OR ANY DIRECT;
INDIRECT; SPECIAL; INCIDENTAL; OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OF ANY KIND
(INCLUDING LOST PROFITS) REGARDLESS OF THE FORM OF ACTION WHETHER IN
CONTRACT; TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE); STRICT PRODUCT LIABILITY OR
OTHERWISE; EVEN IF ADOBE HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH
DAMAGES. '

First off, if you haven't done so already, you might want to
post your question to the Windows update newsgroup.

That said, if the update has already been downloaded to your
computer and you're presented with this dialog, select the
Custom Install option.

http://www.on-line.com/Security/Images/1CustomInstall.gif

You can then uncheck the problem update and elect not to be
notified again. From the Windows Update site, hitting the
Custom button will also allow you to hide this update.

I believe updates that have been downloaded to your computer
are stored in this folder,
C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\Download
You might want to check the contents of that folder and delete
any files that are associated with the problem update.

Good luck

I would expext WUpdate is to blame. I cant help since I stopped
running WUpdate(more trouble than its worth) except u can hide the
update. U r safe with 9 according to Adobe.
