howers and still will not load completely) HELP......Ron

Its a problem with the update kb-35732, which causes windows to keep
reloading failed hardware drivers. We've had this several times at work, due
to switch boxes or external hardware being turned off. i.e. we had 2 users
sharing a parallel scanner on a switch box, if the user started up with the
switch on the other user, windows would try to load the scanner drivers, but
fail as it didn't exist, so it kept trying. If you turn it off, then switch
the box over and boot its fine!
Make sure you don't have any hardware turned off, i.e. scanners, printers,
cameras. If you can't have them turned on all the time, you'll have to
uninstall kb-35732, at least until MS patch the patch.

Ben,

Is that KB-835732?

Cheers,

Paranoia comes from experience - and is not necessarily a bad thing.
