Why would I get an error message every time I scan my
computer for updates? It is impossible to download the
security updates because of this.

This is copied from the message I receive directly after
I hit scan. It doesn't ever go over 0% before showing
this message. It doesn't contain much information, so I
don't know what else might be useful....here is the
message:
Windows Update Error


Windows Update has encountered an error and cannot
display the requested page.

I also went to the page that you suggested and tried the
fixes, but none were successful.
