If you have an always-on connection I would recommend setting Live Update to
automatic.
To do this goto the control panel and set the relevant options in the
Symantec Live Updated section. Then in Norton Internet Security, goto
options for Internet Security and select to automatically download and
install updates and tick every component listed. In Norton Antivirus
Options, set to download virus definitions automatically. You will still
occasionally have to manually run Live Update because I believe that (in
order not to inconvenience you) automatic does not download updates that
need an immediate restart to work. Keep Norton Internet Security up to date!
