Security Updates that keep failing

My hard drive crashed about a month ago. I received a new hard drive and installed it and have been reinstalling all of my software for the last month. There are two security updates that I have downloaded numerous times, but they fail to install. There are also several other updated that have failed to install also. Now I get JScript errors quite a bit and I cannot access some web sites because I do not have all security updates installed. I do not know what to do to get all updated to download and install. I need help. I am sick of getting error messages.
